About the International Summer ProgramThe International Summer Program (ISP) at TU Dortmund University is designed to offer excellent students innovative, hands-on study opportunities in a wonderful study abroad environment. TU Dortmund University is part of the Ruhr Academic Triangle, in the heart of one of Europe's most important metropolitan areas. The ISP consists of two different tracks that you can choose classes from: Engineering and German and European Studies. In addition to or instead of the track-specific courses, you can also undertake a research project. All courses are in English, and you are encouraged to use this opportunity to acquire basic German language skills or to brush up your German competence in the mandatory German language course.
Course OfferingsTrack A: Engineering
Designed mainly for students in their third or fourth year.
Track B: German and European Studies
Designed for students interested in German Language.

Lehigh 2018 Summer Tuition - TBD (Lehigh 2017 Summer Tuition Rate = $735/credit)

Lehigh ISOS Insurance: $50 - $100
This amount is billed to your Bursar account.
TU Dortmund Service Package - 1650 Euro + 200 Euro Room Deposit
Includes accommodation, health insurance, public transportation ticket, cultural program and excursions, pickup service from Dortmund's airport or central train station
Meals and Incidentals - estimated at 250 Euro/month by TU Dortmund

Scholarships and GrantsDortmund University is one of Lehigh University's exchange partners. Students participating on this program will receive a $1000 scholarship from Lehigh.

Application Process2018 Application Deadine: February 15th
Lehigh students must be nominated by the Study Abroad Office. Students can request nomination by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once nominated, students can complete the Dortmund ISP application found on their website. The application deadline for 2018 is February 15th.
All Lehigh students attending the Dortmund ISP must attend a mandatory pre-departure orientation session held in April (dates and locations will be sent via email) and will be enrolled in the Lehigh ISOS insurance plan.
