Study at SLU-Madrid

Saint Louis University is a Catholic, Jesuit institution with campuses in St. Louis, Missouri and Madrid, Spain that welcomes students of all faiths and no faith. SLU values academic excellence, life-improving research, compassionate health care, and a strong commitment to serving others. The student body at SLU-Madrid is a multicultural community of students from around the world. The primary language of instruction is English with selected courses taught in Spanish.

The Madrid Campus of Saint Louis University is a unique study abroad experience. Any given semester there are students on campus from around 65 countries, speaking more than 50 languages. Not only will you get to know Spain and the Spanish culture, but you’ll be able to learn about other cultures as well. We're looking for individuals who are curious to meet new people, travel to new places and contemplate new ideas and ways of viewing the world and themselves.

Accreditation: Fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission in the USA, and recognized by the Consejería de Educación de la Comunidad de Madrid (the Education Ministry of the Madrid Regional Government) in Spain.

SLU-Madrid welcomes students who wish to enrich their university experience by spending a summer, semester or a year in the Spanish capital. If you enjoy interacting with an internationally diverse community, SLU-Madrid is the right place for you.  We offer nearly 200 accredited courses (taught in English) to choose from in any given semester, including those that fulfill requirements for degrees in business, engineering, and the health sciences. And for students who wish to immerse themselves in Spanish culture and language, we offer courses that fulfill traditional U.S. liberal arts requirements in Spanish.

Lehigh students who study abroad at SLU Madrid are required to live in university-provided housing.
