Travel Grant Application

Lehigh Faculty-Led credit-bearing programs
Grants Awarded by Study Abroad

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. 
 

WHO CAN APPLY:
Students in all colleges are eligible for study abroad travel grants. The first step is to start your application for the faculty-led program of your choice.

Next steps:
  • Students in the College of Arts & Sciences should learn about and apply to the Study Abroad Grant through the college
  • Students in the College of Health should learn about and apply to the COH Study Abroad Grant through the college
  • Students in all other colleges who have financial need (per information from the Financial Aid Office) will receive an email with instructions on how to access their travel grant application.  On average, this will take 1-2 business days.
ABOUT: 
A modest travel grant may be available to students who demonstrate financial need, contingent upon available financial resources and demand. Travel grants may range from $500-$2,000. These awards are made on a competitive basis for students who would otherwise be financially unable to participate in the program. The degree of financial need of each applicant will be determined by Lehigh's Financial Aid Office. 

PROCESS: 
The following steps are needed to help determine the criteria for grant funding and are designed to help determine the possible significance of this experience on the academic and professional development of the applicant. 
  • Start an application to your winter or summer faculty-led program of choice. 
  • Students with financial need will receive an email providing access to the faculty-led travel grant.
  • The application will ask students to submit a letter of request (approx. 1 page double spaced) telling us how this experience will contribute to your academic and professional development. 
  • You will receive notification via email once your grant application is reviewed.
