Introduction
Hochschule München is the second-largest University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Quality and diversity are our strengths. Our course offerings are multifaceted and practice-oriented: 14 departments in the areas of technology, economy, social studies and design provide teaching in over 80 study courses. Munich University of Applied Sciences is not a typical campus university: in fact, the faculties are spread over three large sites. As well as each having their individual flair, each of the campuses has its own cafeteria and library.

- Undergraduate students: Accepted
- Graduate students: Accepted, but most courses in English are taught in the undergraduate programs and in most of the Master programs the language of instruction is German.
- Computer Science majors: Accepted
Eligibility Requirements
- Students should be in their third or fourth year of study during the exchange period, as most courses taught in English are offered for students enrolled in higher semesters.

English Proficiency Requirements
If you would like to participate in the Courses in English, and English is not your first language, we will need evidence of your English language proficiency. You have the following options:
- If you live and study in a country where English is the main language, you do not have to provide any kind of language certificate.
- If your study programme is solely taught in English, please provide official confirmation of that (e.g. a letter from your home university, confirming that).
- If none of the above applies, please provide an English language certificate, indicating at least level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or equivalent. We can only accept the following tests with the following minimum scores:

Course Contents
Course Descriptions
As a general rule, final course selection and registration do not take place until you have arrived in Munich. If you have to put together a Learning Agreement or Study Plan beforehand, please use the lecture timetables from the previous semester as a guide or ask your departmental co-ordinator at Hochschule München for advice. Courses from the various departments are open to all exchange students enrolled at Hochschule München irrespective of their own field of study and as long as prerequisites are fulfilled and/or places are available.

30 ECTS (exchange students should take 15 ECTS)
Additional Application Materials
Students nominated by IIE to HM must complete the HM online application, and submit the transcript of records, plus English language certificate (level B2, CEFR), if you are not an English native speaker or studying in an English speaking country.
Recommendation letter from a professor or academic staff:
A welcome email will be sent approx. 4 weeks after the application deadline.
Housing
Hochschule München doesn’t own any on-campus residence halls. We do get a certain number of rooms in the student union’s residence halls which can be allocated to our exchange students, but places are limited and none of that is on-campus.

Housing – approximately 300-600 € (depending on accommodation: student residence hall or private flat)

144,40€ semester contribution (once, subject to change), approx. 90€ health insurance per month (for students from non-European countries or from countries without social security agreement with Germany only)
